INTERESTING WEDDING AT LINCOLN
__________
Lowe - Dashper
__________
A charming, though rather quiet, wedding was solemnised at St Peter-in-Eastgate Church, Lincoln, on Thursday afternoon, the contracting parties being John, the youngest son of the late Mr. Chas. Conyers Lowe, Ryhall, Rutland, and Mrs Lowe, the Cottage, Nettleham Road, Lincoln, and Kate Louise (Dashper), eldest daughter of the late Mr. G.J. Dashper, Clerk of the Peace for the City, and Mrs Dashper, Cremyll, Nettleham Road, Lincoln. The Rev. Canon Brown, cousin of the bride, officiated, and was assisted by the Rev. Purey Cust, Vicar of the parish.
The bride looked charming in a dress of ivory ninon (lightweight silk fabric) over satin, trimmed with lace, and wore a hat to match, of white velor, trimmed with white feathers. There were no bridesmaids in attendance. The bride was given away by her mother, and Mr. Chas. Lowe (the bridegroom's brother) acted as best man. Later in the day the happy couple left for London, en route for the South, where they are spending their honeymoon.
The presents were both numerous and costly.
The congratulations of every citizen will be extended to Mr. and Mrs. Lowe, who were happily married on Thursday. Both enjoy the respect of a large number of citizens, and the bride has rendered splendid service to the city by her musical gifts. She has helped not a little to bring fame to the Lincoln Girls' High School by the large number of brilliant pupils, who have qualified under her skill and genius.
